GRADUATION BW 2019.jpg

TU Delft, Graduation July 02, 2019

In July 2019, I completed my MSc in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences, with specialization in Heritage & Architecture. The reason behind my fascination with the particular theme is that heritage is not only a monumental building, it can be anything in our urban or rural environment with tangible or intangible value, thus its preservation and potentially new use varies depending on the situation and the rapidly changing societal needs, giving the architect the opportunity to explore a historio-cultural journey while simultaneously thinking out-of-the-box to come up with innovative solutions.

As a professional, working in two different offices gave me the opportunity to work in a number of projects of different scales and typologies both in Greece and abroad. I had the opportunity to explore all stages of work in the architectural profession while working as part of the team helped me to grow not only as an architect, developing my technical and design skills but also as a person.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Literature, Philosophy, Urbanism, Reading

Travelling, Culture, Arts & Music: Travelling makes people better in my opinion. I am fascinated by exploring other cultures and their traditions. People can learn a lot more from each other than they do. Additionally, by looking at the people and the reactions to their environment I believe I can become a better architect.
The countries that I really want to visit sometime in the near future are Vietnam, Egypt and India.

Environment, Ecology, Climate Change Activist: Architects should play a bigger role in spreading knowledge in terms of climate change and environmental problems to their clients as well as the general public since both its effects and consequences are related to the built environment.
